Urvashi Pandya, MPH

Director of Programs

Joined AIRnyc in April 2020. Urvashi began her work in the public health space with a mission to understand the structural inequalities that underlie disparities in health and to learn how to empower communities to improve their well-being. She has molded her studies and work experience around this quest. Prior to coming to AIRnyc, she worked at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s Office of Minority Health & Health Equity on a Zika virus training for Community Health Workers and the implementation of an agency-wide language access policy. Urvashi also spent time working with The Greater Boston Food Bank and has contributed to global public health interventions in Peru, Honduras, Indonesia, and Liberia. Urvashi holds a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and bachelor’s degrees in Health Promotion and Spanish from the University of Georgia. Her hobbies and interests include anything involving creative expression (such as photography, dance, and music), immersing herself in a captivating storyline – be it through books or TV, and trying new types of foods.
