Maternal and Early Childhood Health Crisis

AIRnyc is committed to reducing maternal and child deaths and medical complications, for high-risk Black and Latinx families. We intervene in hospital settings and at-home to improve health outcomes for mom and baby from pregnancy through early childhood.

Why do these racial disparities exist? There are multiple reasons, including situations where medical staff haven’t taken Black women’s reports of Urgent Maternal Warning Signs seriously.

We Reduce and Prevent

  • ER visits and hospitalizations

  • Low birth weight and pre-term births

AIRnyc serves as the quarterback, making sure that everyone on the mom’s childbirth team collaborates and gets the information they need to make her pregnancy and post-partum journey a safe one.
