Joined AIRnyc in 2021. Elana has over 20 years of experience in the field of healthcare working for providers, community based organizations and healthcare payers. She was most recently VP of Strategy and Patient Experience at Community Healthcare Network, an FQHC with 15 clinics throughout New York City. Elana was formerly the Associate Vice President of Member Advocacy at Universal American where she revamped the Appeals and Grievances Department, managing acquisitions of new businesses from a compliance perspective. She also served as the Director of Client Programs at the Medicare Rights Center and as the Director of Volunteer services at Hudson River Community Healthcare. Elana is bilingual in Spanish and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica.
