Michaela joined AIRnyc in September 2023. She grew up in England before returning to the States in 2013 to complete her undergraduate degree in Physics at Macalester College. Michaela completed two AmeriCorps service terms focused on educational equity in Minnesota, and then joined the staff at Minnesota Alliance With Youth as an onboarding specialist. She transitioned to a Systems and Evaluations Coordinator role to maintain the Alliance’s database as well as create and improve interconnected systems for staff and AmeriCorps members. She was energized by applying her problem-solving and systems thinking skills to support staff and program goals. This carried through to her role at AIRnyc as Salesforce Administrator. Outside of work, Michaela loves Argentine tango, crafting, and tabletop role-playing games.
